Los modelos afectados corresponden en su mayor\u00eda a aquellos equipados con un motor di\u00e9sel TDI de 4 cilindros. El n\u00famero total de veh\u00edculos con este software se desconoce actualmente, aunque existen alrededor de 11 millones de veh\u00edculos de la marca en todo el mundo con estas caracter\u00edsticas.
