Se propone que hasta el 60% de su consumo se cubra con energ\u00edas renovables. La planta de energ\u00eda solar con la que se generar\u00e1 el 42% de la nueva energ\u00eda se comenzar\u00e1 a construir este a\u00f1o y tambi\u00e9n se construir\u00e1 un parque e\u00f3lico que producir\u00e1 el 18%. La inversi\u00f3n de los dos proyectos se eleva a 500 millones de d\u00f3lares. La compa\u00f1\u00eda nacional de electricidad Chilectra proporcionar\u00e1 el 40% restante.<\/p>\n<p>La presidenta chilena, Michelle Bachelet, anunci\u00f3 los planes energ\u00e9ticos para el Metro de Santiago de Chile, la segunda red de metro m\u00e1s grande de Am\u00e9rica Latina, indicando que se estima que sus emisiones de CO<sub>2<\/sub> disminuir\u00e1n en 130.000 toneladas anuales con la utilizaci\u00f3n de estas energ\u00edas renovables.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a
