Esto no es una idea nueva. Las primeras pasarelas m\u00f3viles fueron vistas en Chicago en 1893, y siete a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde fueron utilizadas en la Exposici\u00f3n Mundial de Par\u00eds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Desde entonces, la idea reaparece peri\u00f3dicamente en los libros de ciencia ficci\u00f3n, pero tambi\u00e9n en la mente de los ingenieros de transporte y urbanistas en busca de soluciones de transporte m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gicas. Ahora, investigadores de la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Federal de Lausana (EPFL) han analizado la viabilidad de pasarelas de movimiento r\u00e1pido en un entorno urbano. Sus resultados son alentadores.<\/p>\n<p>Su tarea consisti\u00f3 en imaginar un mundo -o una ciudad- sin coches privados en los que se pudiera reutilizar el espacio que actualmente utiliza el autom\u00f3vil.
